Town Hall Meeting
Whitewater City Administrator Building
City Hall Community Room, 312 W. Whitewater Street
(Near the intersection of W Whitewater St and S Fremont St)
Whitewater, WI 53190
Monday, March 16th, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
IRIS has successfully provided funding to the disabled and elderly to assist them to live their lives as independently as possible, striving for community integration and opportunities to further develop skills through a variety of supports.
These programs are in REAL jeopardy, the proposed budget for 2015-2017 are in for radical changes.
The proposed budget plan is to dissolve the programs as we know them, cutting the budget tremendously.
The proposed budget plan will force all the Long Term Care participants to give up control of their individual plans and choices regarding care.
If you know someone that is disabled or elderly that is receiving IRIS or Family Care funding to assist them with getting the supports they need for personal cares, respite, daily living skills, medical equipment, supportive home care, or transportation services it is important that you and those persons attend this town hall meeting.
This meeting will offer opportunities for sharing personal stories and aspects of the budget proposal amongst attending lawmakers, persons with disabilities, provider groups, advocacy groups and community members.
